Blind annotation is an exercise developed for use at the Archive in motion workshop
Participants are shown a short clip with a flash of audio & video (from 1 frame to 1 second in length) and asked to add a textual annotation. A timeline interface then displays the original timeline of the 90 minute VHS recording with only the textual annotations displayed.
- Blind annotation interface -- you are shown a random fragment of frames and asked to annotate "cold"
- Annotation timeline -- a composite of all accumulated annotations display with the videos original timeline (but with the video not shown)
- Annotation timeline with fragments - variation of above with original random fragment clips shown
